  WP 11 Project Management
The Virtual Automation Networks project management involves the following actions:
  • To ensure the technical and administrative objectives of the project.
  • To ensure that all project objectives are delivered within the budge.
  • To ensure that all project objectives are achieved within the schedule.
  • To deliver quality solutions
    • reduced errors
    • improved effectiveness
    • Appropriate risk management and internal controls
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Implement project communications and oversight.
The work package mangement of the Virtual Automation Networks project covers all the technical and resource management needed for the project. In detail these are the following issues:

a) Organisation of daily operations which includes progress monitoring (technical and financial), document management, publication, representation of the consortium.
b) Administration, preparation of minutes and provision of the chairman of the General Assembly and the Board, and follow-up of its decisions.
c) Transmission of any documents and information connected with the Project between the Parties concerned.
d) Conflict and consensus monitoring.
e) Funding management according to partner progress.
f) Organisational and technical preparation of Project Co-ordination Committee meetings.
g) Project reporting.
h) Project review.
i) Withholding payments for, constituting and administration of the Common Fund.

The Co-ordinator is supported by a Project Secretary (Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH)
